NOTICE: HAPS in-person groups and classes are beginning to reopen with precautionary measures in place. We continue to monitor the local COVID-19 situation and have implemented protocol that we feel is in the best interest of our participants, instructors, volunteers, and donated facilities. All participants must register or re-register and be pre-enrolled in order to attend in-person sessions. Contact the HAPS office for details. Stay connected to HAPS by checking our calendar of events or checking our Facebook page for the latest updates.

There are many benefits of practicing yoga in relation to Parkinson's disease, including possible improved respiratory functions, posture, muscle mobility, cognitive functions, mood and balance and movement. Since 2012, HAPS has offered yoga classes which focus on utilizing breathing techniques with controlled movements to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson's.

Yoga classes are offered virtually and in-person. For more information on yoga for Parkinson's, call Angelica Rodriguez at 713.313.1652.
