The tremendously popular non-contact boxing empowers those living with a diagnosis an opportunity to fight back against Parkinson’s disease. Boxing is a full-body workout program designed to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson's.

HAPS boxing instructors are trained in the “Rock Steady” method specifically designed for those with PD. This class uses activities that emphasize gross motor movement, core strength, range of motion, and flexibility. Boxing requires dynamic balance and multidirectional movements. Research states that those who regularly engage in this discipline show improvements in agility, gait, balance, endurance, activities of daily living and quality of life.

Classes are offered virtually and in-person. To find an exercise group near you, contact Angelica Rodriguez at 713.313.1652.
