Biennially, HAPS offers a full-day symposium, featuring local and national experts in the field of Parkinson's who are familiar with the latest in Parkinson's research, treatment and disease management strategies and is presented at no charge to attendees. Our newly named program, ENGAGE. EDUCATE. EMPOWER., focuses on bringing high-level education to those with Parkinson's, their families and the general public with the goal of expanding understanding and implementing long-term disease management strategies.
The 2021 ENGAGE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER biennial symposium, was held Saturday, September 18th. This year, HAPS hosted the event using a virtual platform so that we could continue to keep our Parkinson's community safe during the ongoing COVID-19 situation. As always, the event featured robust content delivered by experts known to the Parkinson's community locally and nationally. This year participants learned more about the topics of cognition, palliative care, what's in the research pipeline, treatment strategies and more. Additionally, this year's event allowed participants the chance to interact with our sponsors and vendors live throughout the day.
All sessions of the ENGAGE. EDUCATE. EMPOWER. event were recorded and are available on the symposium website until mid-October. Find those videos here. If you registered for this event, use the email you used at the time of registration to access the site.
