We continue to monitor the local COVID-19 situation and have implemented protocol that we feel is in the best interest of our participants, instructors, volunteers, and donated facilities. Biennially, HAPS offers a full-day symposium, featuring local and national experts in the field of Parkinson's who are familiar with the latest in Parkinson's research, treatment and disease management strategies and is presented at no charge to attendees. Our newly named program, ENGAGE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER, focuses on bringing high-level education to those with Parkinson's, their families and the general public with the goal of expanding understanding and implementing long-term disease management strategies.

The 2019 ENGAGE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER biennial symposium, was held Saturday, August 10th at the Omni Houston Hotel Westside located at 13210 Katy Freeway and was a huge success. This year, HAPS was proud to welcome 525 registrants who participated in this great event. If you were not able to attend the event in person, you can contact the HAPS office for materials from the event. If you prefer to download the electronic version of this year's program and handouts, please click here. Our next biennial symposium will be held in 2021. Please continue to check the HAPS website for information on more upcoming events.
