8 county roadshow logo

Houston Area Parkinson Society’s NEWEST educational tour is coming soon to a county near you! HAPS kicks off this first tour with an in-demand lecture on Balance, Falls, and Parkinson’s. Maggie Abbott, PT, DPT will be traveling to all eight counties in our service area, bringing this information to your community.

Have you heard the phrases ‘Just don’t fall’ as advice to prevent a fall with Parkinson’s? ‘Falling is a part of aging, right?’ or  ‘Only walk with your cane.’

Don’t believe everything you hear - join Dr. Abbott to learn about body balance and strategies to prevent a fall related to Parkinson’s. Learn easy exercises to improve confidence in your balance and learn fall prevention tips to use around the house and community.

Space is limited. Please select and attend the presentation nearest you.

By using a whole-human approach to community building, we reduce the fear and isolation associated with a Parkinson’s diagnosis.
