Advocates for the Parkinsons Community

HAPS educates and empowers individuals with Parkinson's disease, families, caregivers, friends and community members on how to be their own best advocate regarding obtaining resources, social issues,  medical treatment, research and policy reform.

Your participation in the 2010 Forum gives you the opportunity to learn about the latest in scientific research funded by the federal government as well as hear about public policy issues that Congress is facing right now that directly effect you as members of the Parkinson's community. By the end of the day you will know how to establish a relationship with your member of Congress and make your voice an important voice on Parkinson's disease issues as they arise throughout the year. You can make a difference for everyone with Parkinson's disease.

This year PAN will present a virtual Forum. The webcast format is designed to allow you to participate in the event without having to travel to Washington DC. You can view this event live from your home, but you must register online at www.thepanforum.org or you can attend a locally hosted event. HAPS is hosting the live webcast and invites you to join us as we gather with others who want to learn about and get involved in these issues.
