Be a HAPS Hero

 

 

You can be a hero to thousands of individuals living with Parkinson's disease in the Houston area. There are many ways you can get involved and help HAPS carry out our mission of improving the quality of life for those with PD.  You don't need to have super powers to be a hero; you can make a difference as a volunteer, a fundraiser or a donor.

 

Volunteer:
With a small staff of four, volunteers are essential. HAPS volunteers help in a variety of ways, most importantly with planning and producing special events. Fundraise:
Join us in Pounding the Pavement for Parkinson's as a runner or walker in the Houston marathon each year.   

 

Make a Donation:

See how your tax deductible donation can make a difference in the life of an individual with Parkinson's.

You can be a Hero: your contribution will buy...

 

$25     One roundtrip ride to a doctor's appointment

$50     Three hours of respite

$100   Four roundtrip rides to weekly exercise groups

$250   Five exercise, speech, water or dance groups

$500   One month of Parkinson's prescriptions

$1000 Fully installed wheelchair ramp or one hospital bed
